The idea of banning greyhound racing is not a new one but a recent e-petition started by the WA greyhound advocacy group “Free The Hounds”, that asked whether the sport needs to be banned altogether, has received more than 13,000 signatures.

Melissa Harrison hopes to hand the petition to State Parliament next week and spoke to ABC Perth Morning presenter Nadia Mitsopolous about why she wants to end the sport and how it can be done.
